FantaSea Natural Bristle Body Brush (Is It Any Good?)

If you want an inexpensive dry brush that is small and easy to use, the FantaSea Natural Bristle Body Brush may be right for you.

Like other dry brushes on the market, the FantaSea helps to exfoliate skin, stimulate blood flow and provide a gentle body “awakening” massage.

I Own the FantaSea Body Brush. Here are My Thoughts:

I actually own this brush, and I think it has been well worth the investment. That said, it may not be right for everyone.

In fact, there are many inexpensive dry brushes that only cost a few dollars more. Yet, they deliver additional features like a longer wooden handle, a hanging strap and/or firmer bristles.

Brush has Softer Bristles: Compared to other brushes, I think this model has softer bristles. That said, users have varying opinions. Overall, I think the general consensus is “medium”, and many people recommend NOT using on your face.

Some people prefer firmer bristles since they can stimulate blood flow more. However, others like the soft bristles better. To maximize the circulation benefits from dry brushing (with soft or firm bristles), use directional brushing as shown here:

I Like the Minimal “Handle”: The FantaSea Body Brush does feature a strap handle that feels like soft cotton. However, don’t expect it stretch because it doesn’t.

Although it may fit a little looser on smaller hands, I think this is a good design strategy. You don’t have to worry about elastic losing becoming loose over time.

I Think it’s Well-Made: I agree with other people who purchased the Fantasea. This dry brush seems surprisingly well-made, and the bristles haven’t shed.

That said, it’s worth mentioning that if you plan to wet this brush, make sure to hang it to dry out completely. This helps the product last longer.

Advantages of the Fantasea Dry Brush…

Even though the FantaSea Brush doesn’t have a long handle (great for back exfoliation), its small size does come with some distinct advantages.

First of all, it has a compact size. You can travel with it more easily, and you can even stick it in your gym bag without taking up a lot of valuable space.

Secondly, it weighs less. Generally, dry brushes don’t weigh a lot. However, a small percentage of long-handled brush owners have complained about the heaviness of the brush. Just something to keep in mind.

Third, priced at about $6, people can afford to buy 2: one to use as a dry brush and the other to keep in the shower.

How to Save More Money: I noticed that you may be able to get a substantial “bulk” discount starting at just 2 brushes. For example, last I checked, you could get 4 of the FantaSea dry brushes for about $2.25 each.
